It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of our friend, coach, and mother Sue Porter. Out of respect tomorrow practice 3/27 will be cancelled. Please keep Jade in your thoughts and prayers.

My Memories of my Sister

I remember when Susan was sewing at Christmas time for "her kids" on her school bus something special I said jokingly " I wish I could be a kid on your school bus".
Although I was joking she surprised me with a pillow she had made for "her kids" and one for me. She included me many times over the years. Of course I still have and cherish what she made me. But what kindness to do out of a joke.
We went camping many times over the years. Another thing we did together and with Jade was in the winter we would go get coffee or hot chocolate and a brownie at Back to the Grind. All of us really enjoyed doing that. We also would go to down town Wednesday nights sometimes.
My sister Susan loved Angels and had many over the years.
Susan loved gardening and was so happy to finally buy a home to plant tree's and other things she could grow that her and Jade could eat what she planted. home grown food. She had a green thumb.
She played the lottery always hoping she could do for others if she won.
She really liked Trader Joes, the 99 cent store,she enjoyed shopping and she really enjoyed going to movies (matinee's especially). She enjoyed the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. We discussed our favorite parts over the years and different movies she had seen at the theatres.Susan also introduced me to music. I remember we would listern to the radio in the morning before school where you could request a song and sometimes they would have contests where if you were the right caller you would win a prize. She actually won.I was able to go down and see her a month before she died. I called her on the phone and then walked into her room she was really surprised and so happy to see me. We shared our last day together with Jade and I. It was like old times us 3 being together. We laughed, joked, reminisced,took pictures and shared sisterly love. I have many wonderful and cherished memories of Susan and I, as well as of Susan, Jade and I. I love her and I miss her.
